| Dear Matthew My reason for e mailing you was just to let you know about the PAT Testing training that was conducted here on site at Deepcut only yesterday. It was done by a very nice chap called Chris Gray (Midas Safety Services). As I understand it he does this training in a number of locations across the MOD. I had the opportunity to visit and indeed take part in the practical training for a few hours yesterday afternoon. The training was put across in a very simple, professional and most importantly in manner that the NCO's understood and very much enjoyed. Once an understanding of the basics were grasped Chris moved on to some of the more complex and informative parts of the training resulting in the guys having a complete overview of the theory and practical aspects of the equipment, this was then coupled to the guys having the confidence & knowledge to use the PAT machines. In short it was an excellent training day that was thorough and professional in presentation terms. It also allows me as the one who has overall responsibility for SHEF matters to have the confidence to know that these NCO's can undertake the necessary mandated checks safely and we are complying with current legislation. I would also go as far to say that the service and training Chris Gray provided was outstanding and would have no hesitation in bringing him back to do the same training course next year or indeed recommend him to be used in other MOD sites. I just thought you might be interested to hear how this external training was run here at Deepcut and I hope we can have him back again next year. |

| Hi Chris Just a quick email to say thanks for the excellent day delivering the PAT course at Blandford. I found the day to be very educational and (like most soldiers) didn’t enjoy the PowerPoint stuff too much however the hands on approach was greatly beneficial. Was also good to see how you can adapt the setting to suit your own personal tests and as I’ve only a few years left in the Army it gives me something else I can add to my CV. Thanks again Brian |

PAT COURSE |
| I have recently completed a one-day PAT Testing Course with Chris and found it both enjoyable and very informative. Never having done PAT Testing before I was unsure what to expect, having now completed the course and with the instruction and knowledge that Chris imparted on the day has enabled me to go back into my work place and carry out competent testing. Recommend this course and Chris for all your PAT Testing requirements. |

| Chris, Many thanks for the PAT training you delivered at ATC Pirbright yesterday. The theory and practical training that you gave was immensely informative and enjoyable.
