Fire Expertise

Karl is an expert in the field of fire safety.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 became law in October 2006 and introduced significant change to workplace fire safety responsibilities in England and Wales.

It replaces over 70 separate legislations such as the Fire Precautions Act, Licensing Act and Housing Acts with a simple, single Order. It has abolished the requirement for certain premises to hold a fire certificate and instead requires any person who exercises some level of control in any non-domestic premises to take reasonable steps to reduce the risk from fire and ensure occupants can escape safely if a fire does occur.

One of the major changes in the legislation was that it brought in the concept of risk assessment rather than prescriptive codes.

Working with our Fire Trainer, we can provide the following services with respect to this legislation:

• Fire awareness - £250 +vat for up to 12 students

  This includes all aspects of fire safety, precautions and practical use of extinguishers. On completion you gain an awareness certificate. It is 2x 45 minute theory and 1 20 minute practical

• Fire marshal - £325+vat for up to 8 students

  This includes all subjects covered on the awareness evacuation procedures disable staff, on completion you receive a certificate, HiVis jacket and check list board.

• Fire risk management policies - £100 + vat

  Completion of a risk policy and 20min on implementation
