Why to buy?You can easily manage your noise complaint investigations and analysis with the equipment listed below. We will be pleased to provide further advice if you are thinking of upgrading from a DAT recorder or sound level meter and want to know more about the advantages of doing so.
CR:290 Noise Nuisance RecorderThe CR:290 Digital Noise Nuisance Recorder is a state of the art noise measurement tool that has been specifically designed for the recording and analysis of noise complaints. It is the ideal replacement for Sound Level Meter & DAT based Noise Nuisance recording systems, provides all of the features of a SLM/DAT based system, but removes the problems associated with cables, tapes and recording quality. The software provided with the CR:290 has been designed to allow very quick analysis and playback of both the logged noise levels and the recorded audio files. Recordings can be played back in any order and the user can jump to any recording instantly, which dramtically reduces the time to find, listen and analyse noise sources.
Simple and reliable to operateThe built in colour touch screen provides a simple step-by-step setup routine that can be followed quickly and easily to ensure high quality recordings. Calibration is as simple as attaching the calibrator to the microphone and selecting "Calibrate" on the colour screen. After calibration, the user can record a voice log which can be used to store details of the location, time, date and any other useful information for future reference.
When the setup is complete, the system will measure and stored continually over user defined periods of 5 minutes, 15 minutes or 1 hour the overall noise levels. The system will record the Leq, Lmax, L10 and L90 which can then be used to produce graphs and charts quickly and easily. When the Record button is pressed, the audio data is recorded directly to the hard disk of the unit. By using digital recording technology, a pre-trigger can be set, so that the audio recording starts before the button is pressed, which helps to eliminate false recordings.
Replay and AnalysisRecordings can be accessed directly from the display on the instrument, giving instant access to the data, or the measurement can be downloaded to a PC for replay and analysis. Measurement projects are stored to a removable memory card, which contains all of the logged noise parameters as well as any audio recordings made.
The Compact Flash Card can be removed from the Recorder and using the supplied USB Card Reader, data can be transferred to the NoiseMaster Light software. A graphical view of the logged noise levels, such as Leq, Lmax, L10 and L90 is given, and any audio recordings are overlaid onto this graph, giving instant access to any part of the recording. The audio data can also be exported into the optional Frequency Master software for frequency analysis*. *Requires the optional Frequency Master software
