Product DetailsThe doseBadge is a unique solution for Personal Noise
measurements. The new CR:100B doseBadge provides the measurements essential
for compliance with Occupational Noise regulations.
The CR:110AIS is a Personal Noise Dosemeter with Intrinsic Safety Certification. It carries ATEX and EEx approval for both Group II (Non-Mining Applications) and Group I (Mining Applications). Intrinsic Safety refers to equipment and wiring that is inherently safe. In other words, an Intrinsically Safe system is one with energy levels so low that they cannot cause an explosion. . |

What product should I buy?You can easily manage your legal requirements with the equipment listed below. You may require a sound level meter, personal dosebadges and a noise nuisance recorder under certain circumstances.
Personal Dosebadges for individual workers are recommended in any noisy environment e.g. a factory or entertainment venue. CR: 100BThe doseBadge is a unique solution for Personal Noise measurements. The new CR:100B version of the doseBadge provides not only the measurements essential for compliance with Occupational Noise regulations, but with the new RC:100B Reader unit it can store up to 24 hours of LAeq Time History data including Peak(C) and Overload exceedeces. In addition to the new hardware, a suite of software is available to suport the new features and functions.
The doseBadge is a unique solution to the problems associated with the measurement of Personal Noise Exposure. The doseBadge itself has no controls or cables which means that the unit can be used in situations where the wearer is working in confined spaces or where there is a risk of a cable being caught in machinery. The doseBadge can only be operated (reset, calibrated, started and stopped) using the Reader unit or the Keyfob remote control. This dramatically reduces the possibility of the wearer tampering with the unit. The small size and light weight design of the doseBadge also reduces the risk of damage to the unit. The measurements provided the doseBadge have been designed to allow full compliance with Occupational Noise regulations, whilst giving a simple output that can be easily understood. The design of the doseBadge allows the case to be much smaller than a conventional dosemeter. This ensures that the movement of the user is not constricted by cables and connectors. The unit has no controls or switches, will all functions controlled by either the RC:100B Reader unit, or by the RC:101A Keyfob Controller. The rechargable battery is sealed within the unit and is charged using the reader unit or by additional charging blocks.
CR: 110A / AISThe CR110A doseBadge is the unique way to measure Occupational and Industrial noise exposure. Different to a traditional Noise Dosemeter, the doseBadge has no cables or buttons, and is controlled, via an InfraRed link, from the RC:110A Reader unit. The CR:110AIS variant is a new Intrinsically Safe doseBadge. The CR:110AIS is a version of the CR:110A doseBadge Personal Noise Dosemeter with Intrinsic Safety Certification. The CR:110AIS carries ATEX and EEx approval for both Group II (Non-Mining Applications) and Group I (Mining Applications). The CR:110AIS has the same performance and specifications as the standard CR:110A version of the doseBadge, but has several significant differences to allow it to carry the ATEX and EEx certification. What is Intrinsic SafetyAs the name suggests, Intrinsic Safety refers to equipment and wiring that is inherently safe. In other words, an Intrinsically Safe system is one with energy levels so low that they cannot cause an explosion. The term hazardous area can be confusing. Hazardous area refers to any location with combustible materials such as gases, dusts, or fibres that might produce an ignitable mixture. A hazardous area can be a sealed room filled with a volatile material or an area that is open to normal foot traffic, such as the area around a gasoline pump. What is ATEX and EEx?The ATEX Directive, named after the French ATmosphere EXplosible, is an EU (European Union) Directive which provides the technical requirements to be applied to equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The Directive has been mandatory for all equipment of this type being sold in the European Union from the 1st July 2003. Any equipment that is sold in the EU which is designed to be used in
potentially explosive atmospheres must carry an ATEX Approval.
The CR:110A doseBadge system is supplied with the new RC:110A Reader Unit, which is required to use all of the new features and functions that have been added to the CR:110A doseBadge. The new RC:110A Reader unit can be used with the previous versions of the doseBadge, including the CR:100B and CR:100A doseBadge, although the functionallity is limited by the doseBadge. For example, the CR:100B doseBadge can only be configured to either the ISO or OSHA Quick Setups. ![]() Technical Comparison
