CR:303 Sound Level Meter
The CR:303 is a simple, robust Sound Level Meter designed for applications where a quick check of the noise levels is required. The instrument displays Fast Sound Level in dB(A) and has a measurement range of 35dB(A) to 135dB(A). A maximum hold function is also provided to hold the highest reading that the instrument displays. As the CR:303 does not provide measurement of Leq or Peak(C), it is not suitable for compliance with Noise at Work Regulations in the EU, but is ideal for simple checks and assessments.
The CR:303 uses a standard 1/2" microphone capsule and therefore is compatible with the standard Cirrus Research plc Acoustic Calibrators such as the CR:513A.
A range of accessories is available for the CR:303 including windshields and carrying cases. The instrument is also available as a measurement kit

CR:270 Series of Integrating Sound Level Meters
The CR:270 series is a range of instruments designed for the measurement of industrial and environmental noise levels. The main application for the instruments is to measure noise levels for compliance with Noise at Work regulations.
The instrument are capable of measuring Leq (Average Noise Level) and Peak levels, with the parameters being calculated simultaneously. The CR:272 and CR:271 instruments provide the measurement of both A and C weighted levels, allowing the prescription of hearing defenders using the HML method. The CR:274 and CR:273 instruments have the addition of internal octave band filters and dB(Lin), which allow the use of the Octave Band method for the accurate selection of hearing protection.
The units provide a range of features including:
Type 1 or Type 2 versions
Simultaneous measurement of Leq, Peak (C) and SPL
dB(A) for Leq & SPL, dB(C) for Peak
dB(Lin) for Octave Bands on CR:274 and CR:273
AC & log DC Outputs
Maximum Hold for SPL
'F' (Fast), 'S' (Slow) & 'I' (Impulse) response for SPL
Full range of accessories available

Applications
Measurement of Personal Noise Exposure
Assessing and Monitoring noise in the workplace
Ensuring compliance with Noise at Work regulations
The doseBadge is a unique solution to the problems associated with the measurement of Personal Noise Exposure. The doseBadge itself has no controls or cables which means that the unit can be used in situations where the wearer is working in confined spaces or where there is a risk of a cable being caught in machinery.
The doseBadge can only be operated (reset, calibrated, started and stopped) using the Reader unit or the
Key fob remote control. This dramatically reduces the possibility of the wearer tampering with the unit. The small size and light weight design of the doseBadge also reduces the risk of damage to the unit.
The measurements provided the doseBadge have been designed to allow full compliance with Occupational Noise regulations, whilst giving a simple output that can be easily understood.
The design of the doseBadge allows the case to be much smaller than a conventional dosemeter. This ensures that the movement of the user is not constricted by cables and connectors. The unit has no controls or switches, will all functions controlled by either the RC:100B Reader unit, or by the RC:101A
Key fob Controller. The rechargeable battery is sealed within the unit and is charged using the reader unit or by additional charging blocks.
